Tory Richards has a HOT SPOT (and giveaway) that will send you UP IN FLAMES!

I’m so thrilled to be here today! One of the perks of being a writer and sharing my stories is meeting and making new friends. And lately, I’ve been all over the internet, promoting. So yes, I am shamefully plugging my three current releases. Two came out in August and the third just this month.
Okay, so who am I? I’m a grandma who writes smut. NOT porn, as my hubby used to teasingly call it. There is a huge difference. He was proud of me and my accomplishments, yet he never read one of my books.  Below are blurbs and pictures of my current releases. And before I forget, just yesterday I was offered a contract for my first interracial romance, Instant Attraction!
So you’re probably wondering, is there a prize involved. Who doesn’t like free stuff? I recently won my first ebook prize. Writers are readers, tooJ Leave a comment at the end of this post to be entered into a drawing for a download of Hot Spot. I’ll let randomly pick a winner one week from today. So do post your email addy and I’ll send you the ebook.
UP IN FLAMES Blurb – Rachel Masters has had a crush on her sexy boss for three years. As far as she knows the millionaire architect is oblivious to her, walking past her desk every morning with barely a nod in her direction. But when the power goes out and they're trapped in an elevator, the truth comes out in one steamy episode designed to take Rachel's mind off being claustrophobic.
James White doesn't have a crush on his receptionist. He wants her; it’s as simple as that. He senses there's a real beauty hidden beneath the granny glasses and professional suites. And he plans to find out how hot she is as soon as the chance presents itself.
HOT SPOT Blurb – There’d been something brewing between John and Sammy twenty years ago when they were teenagers. Only good girl Sammy had been too afraid of his bad boy image. Besides, in those days all he'd wanted was sex. She opted for his safer and more predictable brother, Pat. And when they get married, John disappears.
They’re reunited during a family reunion, and the years disappear in the blink of an eye. Seeing him now, as the successful, sexy man he's become, reminds Sammy that they're both free to pursue their attraction for each other that had never fully extinguished. Only giving in to a weekend of hot anywhere, anything goes sex isn't the only thing Sammy faces. She has to come to terms with loving him.
PASSIONATE ENCOUNTERS Blurb – Pretty divorcee Emma Stuart is ready to begin her new life in a new home down on the lake. She hasn’t sworn off men, but she isn’t looking to replace her cheating ex anytime soon. Until a mistake lands the small town’s sexy detective on her door step. The attraction is instant, and explosive, and soon they’re as involved as two people can get.
Mike Denton isn’t looking for any complicated relationships. He’s too busy raising a teenage daughter on his own. But the moment he looks into Emma’s pretty eyes he knows he’s in trouble. The curvy temptress keeps him in a constant state of arousal, and manages to break down his willpower with little more than a smile. He lusts after her body, but will he be able to keep his emotions in check?

Jessica Subject celebrates CRASH LANDING with giveaway!

5 Things Cael wished he’d done before crash landing on Earth!
First of all, thank you so much, Cerise, for having me on your blog today. It’s such a pleasure to be here. J
My second erotica short story, Crash Landing, released today from Decadent Publishing as part of their Edge series. And I thought I’d share some things Cael wished he had done in his life as he plummets toward Earth.
1.     I wish I’d said a proper goodbye to my parents before leaving Narian.
2.     I wish I’d reached my thirtieth year to experience mating or had someone on the ship to practice with.
3.     I wish I had someone else on this ship to help save us from crashing.
4.     I wish I’d paid better attention in training.
5.     I wish I’d learned how to swim.
Here’s an excerpt:
Cael gripped the cushioned arms of the captain’s chair as his ship tumbled bow over stern. The console flashed a blinding red in front of him. Piercing alarms drilled into his mind and he lost focus. The seconds raced by as he plummeted toward Earth. He’d fucked up this mission of peace. Contact with his home planet had ended months ago. No one from Narien could save him now. His death was imminent.
The water below wouldn’t soften his landing. At its current speed, his ship would disintegrate on splashdown. The planet’s gravity pulled him down faster.
He coughed; the acrid scent of fried electronics stung his nose and the back of his throat. Please let my death be quick.
A rattling to the left caught his attention above all other noise. The handle on the cabin door shook. Freedom. It wasn’t his time to die, if he could get out.
The altimeter on the dashboard read six thousand meters, high enough to jump and land safely with his chute. Only to land in frigid water and die of exhaustion or hypothermia from treading without any hope of a rescue.
“Shit.” But he’d die if he stayed. He had to take the chance. Yanking off his safety harness, he pulled himself to standing and strained to reach the recess where his pack hung. Stretching up, he fingered the cloth strap. Not close enough to grab hold of it.
The ship jolted and flung him to the stern. He weaved his arm through the straps of the pack on his way past, dislodging it from the hook. Yes.
His triumph was short-lived as he flew starboard, smashing his shoulder against the wall. He groaned when an electrifying spasm shot down his arm to the tips of his fingers. The ship lurched again, and he tumbled back toward the console. He grabbed the door, his feet dangling in mid air. If he didn’t get out now, he’d forfeit any chance to survive.
The ship righted again. He planted his feet against the bottom of the door and twisted the crank. The latch snapped open, filling him with a sense of hope. Careful to keep at least one hand on the handle at all times, he slung the pack over his shoulders.
All set. Time to jump. Pushing off the floor, he slammed his uninjured shoulder against the door. It blew open and tore away from its hinges, lost to the sky.
Cael teetered on the edge before plunging out of his failing ship. Wind whipped all around him as he twisted to catch his bearing during freefall.
Glancing down, he spied crystal blue lake, much closer than he’d expected. Too close.
He jerked the cord on his chute–several hundred feet lower than he should have. At least. His feet skimmed the cold waves just as his chute caught the current and heaved him back into the air.
The ship splashed into the water beside him, disintegrating into millions of pieces. He raised his hands in front of his face as shrapnel flew at him. Tiny shards sliced into his arms and legs, but the extreme heat from the cloud of steam billowing up at him stung the most.
From the moment his toes touched down in the once frigid water, his skin sizzled. He screamed in agony. His death would have been quicker and less agonizing if he’d remained in the ship.
A hard piece of his spacecraft smashed down on his head, and he welcomed the darkness.
Crash Landing Blurb
As his ship plummets toward Earth, Cael believes his life to be over. His last ditch effort to save himself ends in a fiery crash. When he wakes up, he believes he’s entered the afterlife, but his surroundings indicate otherwise. He made it to Earth. But who saved him, and what do they want with him?

Ella Jade writes about PASSION'S PAIN, out now! (And wow, for that cover!)

Thanks so much for having me here today. I’m thrilled to be celebrating the release of my latest contemporary romance Passion’s Pain. This book was a long time in the making. The idea has been with me for years, but I always thought it was a little unconventional as far as romances went. One day I sat down and started writing and then I couldn’t stop.
Passion’s Pain is a romance at the core, but it’s also a journey about a woman who has fallen on some hard times and wants to find some peace and stability. She thinks she’s finally found it when she meets an intriguing older stranger, but she soon realizes the man she thought was her savior was only the one who would bring her to her true destiny.
What’s it about?
One woman…two men. Who will she choose? The father or the son?
Lilli Daniels has been down on her luck for quite some time. She's been homeless, hungry and alone for far too long. When an intriguing, older stranger enters the strip club where she's waitressing her life takes on a new direction.
Successful attorney Jackson Avis maintains complete control of every aspect in his life. When he lays eyes on the beautiful, young Lilli he's captivated and has to have her. He tempts her with a life of privilege and security. He introduces her to a world she never knew existed. Complications arise when Jackson's son and aspiring doctor Cameron expresses an interest in his father's girlfriend.
Lilli fights the attraction, but Cameron wants to give into his heart's desire. He's the complete opposite of his controlling, manipulative father and will stop at nothing to protect the woman he's falling in love with.
Sometimes life leads you down one path only to bring you to your true destiny. Can Lilli come to terms and figure out exactly who her heart belongs to?

Excerpt
Lilli glanced down at the floor for a few seconds before looking up and giving Jack a small smile. Her long black hair fell down the center of her back and curled slightly at the ends. Her eyes were a most alluring color. Jack couldn’t tell for sure in the dim lighting, but they almost appeared violet. He’d never encountered such a unique woman before. He knew right away a girl like her didn’t belong in a shit-hole like this.
“What would you like?” She looked down at the pad she held and waited for his order.
“For you to have a seat.” He got up, pulled the chair out, and then motioned for her to sit.
“What? No, I can’t. I’m working.”
Jack looked around and noted it wasn’t that busy.
“I think you can sit for a few minutes.” He smiled. “Pat said you should give me what I want.”
“I-I don’t do that.” She shook her head. "Some of the other girls here do, but not me."
“I’m only asking you to sit and I rarely ask twice.” He felt a sense of relief knowing she didn't prostitute herself to the customers in this disgusting place. “Please.”
“Just for a few minutes.” She looked around the bar and then quickly took a seat.
“It’s nice to meet you, Lilli,” he said. “Do you have a last name?”
“I do.” She was too busy looking into his eyes that he thought maybe she forgot to finish answering.
Jack smiled and cleared his throat when he realized she was staring at him.
“Oh, it’s Daniels.”
“I see. What do you do besides work here, Lilli Daniels?”
“I work at the bookstore over at the community college,” she said. “I’m hoping to save enough money to take a few classes there in the fall.”
“It’s only January,” Jack said. “Why wait so long?”
“Classes are expensive.” She nervously fidgeted with the cocktail napkin sitting on the table. “So, what do you do?”
“I’m an attorney. I have my own practice in the city.”
“Oh, that sounds interesting. I’d like to study law someday, too.”
“A pretty ambitious goal.” He teased. “How old are you?”
“Twenty-two.”
Well, at least she's legal. But, for a girl working in a strip club trying to save money for school, she seemed awfully naïve. He briefly wondered if it was an act to get men to feel sorry for her. Maybe she knew exactly how to get a bigger tip out of her customers.
“Getting a bit of a late start with school, aren’t you?” Jack asked. “My son is about your age and he's in medical school.”
“My father’s not an attorney.” She ran her fingers through her hair and Jack immediately recognized she was uncomfortable when she mentioned her father. The lawyer in him needed to investigate a little further.
“What does your father do?”
“Are you ready to order?” she said. “I should be getting back to work.”
“Not just yet.” He wondered why she changed the subject so quickly. “I’m curious as to what a girl like you is doing in a place like this.”
“Me, too.” She looked around the dark room. “I fell on some hard times and I’m just trying to get my life back together. It’s honest work.”
“What kind of hard times?” He was trying not to interrogate her, but he wanted to know more about her.
“I can tell you’re a lawyer.” Her full pink lips curved into a smile. Jackson wondered what it would feel like to have her mouth against his. She was probably soft and warm.
“It’s in my nature to ask questions.” He wanted to know more about this beauty.
“Do you always get your answers?”
“I always get everything I want.” He let his eyes wander down her body. She was flawless, but he shouldn't have been entertaining any possibilities at all. But then again, when did he ever let anything stop him from getting what he wanted?
Jack reached into his pocket, pulled out his business card, and handed it to her. He couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. “I have to get back to the office now, but I’ve rather enjoyed your company. If Pat gives you a hard time, please give me a call. I’ll set him straight.” He knew he should leave her alone. He wasn't sure he’d be interested in getting involved with a girl in her situation, but he wasn’t ready to walk away. Not yet.
She glanced down at the card. “I went to high school with a Cameron Avis.”
“Did you date?” That would be far too amusing.
“Oh, God no.” She laughed. “He was a year older than me, popular, and would never give a girl like me a second glance. I was from the wrong side of the tracks.” She rolled her eyes.
“Hmm.” Jack began to get a clearer picture of who Lilli was.
“I was shy and kept to myself,” she said. “He was gorgeous, smart, and came from money. Definitely not my type."
“Really?” Jack grinned as he got up from the table. “It seems to me I’ll have to have a talk with my son about not recognizing a good thing when he sees it.”
“Oh.”

FRAN LEE debuts NEVER TEMPT FATE with a giveaway!

My pal, FRAN LEE fires up the universe with NEVER TEMPT FATE!
AND she will do a giveaway of one of her ebooks to one who posts!
BE SURE TO LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDY!

Christine Lange once thought she’d found a white knight, only to learn there’s no such thing. That was a lesson learned. So even though her world’s falling apart, she decides she can make it on her own—until a gorgeous guy appears out of the blue, offering a helping hand.
This time she KNOWS it's too good to be true, but Christine grabs it, pride be damned. Surely her heart will remain safe because this time she KNOWS he's gay. At least, she assumes so. Why else would a man who looks like that need a temporary wife to show off to his family?

Tonio needs a wife and the sexy redhead is perfect. She’s attractive, desperate…and since she doesn’t like men, there’s no danger of her falling in love with him. But Fate likes to play with those who tempt her, and an agreement to see to each other’s physical needs soon has them scorching the sheets. Christine gives Tonio her body, but it isn’t long before he realizes what he really wants is her heart.

Excerpt:

Adriana Rodriguez flounced into the second floor office her brother preferred to use when he was working at home. Her brother pointedly ignored her as he sat behind the sprawling walnut desk, the phone receiver propped on his shoulder as he riffled through a sheaf of documents. She leaned on the low windowsill, arms crossed, and waited to be acknowledged. He shifted the phone and reached for another stack of papers.
“Yes—Antonio Rodriguez for Clarence Damien.” He glanced up as his call went through and his eyes locked with his sister’s. “You have something on your mind?” He frowned.
Adriana frowned back. “You know exactly what I want to talk to you about, Tonio, and it is time you took this seriously!” She paced across to the edge of the desk and drummed her scarlet-tipped fingers absently on the satin-smooth finish of the wood. “You know only three eligible females who could possibly make a match for you,Tonio, and two of them you can’t stand!”
“Correction,” he drawled in a bored tone, “three of them, I can’t stand.” He stopped his sister’s indignant retort with a raised hand as his father’s business manager picked up on the other end of the line. He said quickly, “Damien, Rodriguez here. I need you to have all of my father’s business records available so that I can review them when I arrive on Monday.” His gaze slid over his sister’s livid complexion and he wondered if she had always been so foul-tempered, or if he simply always managed to bring out the worst in her. “Very good. I’ll see you in three days, then.”
As he hung up, Adriana gave him a narrowed glare that might have withered another man’s resolve, and she rasped, “You know very well that Maria Vargas would make you an excellent wife. She has breeding, looks and all of Ricardo Vargas’ money! She is the obvious choice. She is your perfect match, socially and financially.”
He drew a deep breath and frowned at his beautiful, extremely self-serving sibling and wondered if it would be illegal to strangle her. Most likely. She had been after him for these past eight months to marry that fish-cold, supremely selfish bitch. Perfect indeed! He barely managed not to give a disgusted snort.
Instead he replied coolly, “I do not wish to spend the remainder of my existence tied to the apron strings of that sour-faced bruja. Perhaps old Vargas was desperate enough to take your dear friend to his bed, but I prefer women who are capable of some sort of response. The only time I ever saw Maria Vargas show so much emotion as to smile was when she told us that old Vargas had finally gone to his grave.” He rose from his chair and shoved his hands deep into his pockets. “She is about as responsive as a cadaver.”
He knew he had pushed her a trifle too far as her dark eyes flared and her voice rose to a shrill pitch. “Maria Vargas loved her husband! She was a good wife to him! She gave him five years of her life and she gave him the son his first wife could not! How dare you speak of her so?”
Fighting the urge to throttle her with both hands, Tonio shrugged with studied indifference. “Yes, she gave him a son—whose, no one will ever know.” He shook his head, his voice low.
His sister was furious as she hissed, “So? Ricardo Vargas was an old man. He cared little who fathered the boy. He simply wanted a son. She did what she had to do to please him. She did her duty as a wife.
He laughed unpleasantly. “How very dedicated of her. I’m certain she preferred it to the alternative.”
“Alternative?” She glared at him.
“Losing his millions,” he replied absently, wishing he were miles from here.
“How dare you speak of her this way? You are hardly the one to preach on moral values, dear brother. Isn’t this a trifle like the pot calling the kettle black?”
Tonio was not about to get into another long discussion of his lack of morals or the terms of their father’s will, both of which he knew all too well already. “I have no time for this today, Adriana. You can lecture me on having no sense of duty or decorum when I return from the States.”
His statement made her pause, as did the set of his mouth and the look in his dark eyes. She knew him too well to continue to press him. It would be like butting her head into the stones of the pasture wall. She decided to let it drop for now. After all, their father’s will made it very plain that he must marry before the year was out or lose his inheritance to their cousin Luis. There was nothing for him to do but capitulate, for there were few worthy choices for a man of his social status and wealth. He would come around.
She knew he had no intention of allowing their greedy cousin to take possession of this house, the attached properties, the Coldwater Canyon estate and all the Los Angeles properties. He enjoyed his lifestyle. He would not allow it to vanish simply because he did not wish to be tied to a wife. She knew he would not allow their fortune to be given away. She grimaced at the thought of having to leave her comfortable home and live on the pittance her mother had left to her. Tonio was obligated to think of her too! Who could live on a paltry half a million for long?
“I think you and Maria would do well together,” she said offhandedly. “She would be no burden on you financially, and she would seek her pleasure elsewhere if you could not find it in yourself to take her to your bed. She’s not in love with you, thank God! She sees the joining of the two families as an important thing and she can rise above her own selfish desires to make certain that she weds well.”
Antonio stared at her thoughtfully. Did she really think him totally incapable of finding a female he was compatible with? Was she so desperately terrified of having someone beneath her social station become part of the all-important Rodriguez family? Or perhaps she was more worried about Luis taking over this house and losing her precious status? All of the above, most likely.
He did not answer her. How could she know why he had no desire to wed? His sister knew virtually nothing about his private life beyond sheer gossip—and he preferred to keep it that way. Gossip was easier to bear than pity.
He made a point of ignoring her, walking through the arching doorway to the airy hallway and heading for the library. He wanted to be alone and the library was Adriana’s least favorite room. It contained books and his sister had no use for books. Her tastes ran to clothes, jewels, and parties—none of which could ever come out of a book. He could hear her raised voice behind him as she told him once more that his time was running out.
As he closed the library doors he drew a deep breath. He rubbed his temples with one hand, closing his eyes to shut out the thought.
That damn will!
The fourth cover is for Licking Her Wounds, the sequel to Hallie's Cats.  It is barely into edits, but I love the cover. Have no release date yet.  I have videos for each of these as well.

Debuting CARVED INTO HER HEART by Bebe Balocca

My first erotic romance, “Carved into her Heart,” is out today from Total-E-Bound! I have more titles to follow, but “Carved”, like certain other milestones in my life, will always be special because it’s my first.

Under a different name, I’ve been writing for years – humor, cultural commentary, educational passages, parenting articles, and even book reviews – but I’d never before had a work of fiction published, much less an erotic romance. I wanted to pull out all the stops and blast my literary inhibitions into outer space. “Carved” is a total-e-taboo ménage story that describes every decadent second of a very unexpected night in the woods of northern Scotland.

“Carved” was written in response to a Total-E-Bound submission call. TEB requested stories about shapechangers who weren’t your average werewolves or vampires.

Shapechangers… shapechangers… hmmm…

My inspiration came in the form of distant memories of one of my kids’ favorite cartoons. Kinda sinister, but darkly compelling:

Gargoyles.

I love gargoyles’ power and overall grotesque coolness. They’re intricately carved statues way up on rooftops, where few people ever get to admire them up close. I think the gargoyles on ancient structures were imbued with a certain reverence and power by their creators. They’re there for a reason.

So I wondered…

What if those gargoyles came to life at night?

What if they had sex on their minds and YOU in their sights?

Would you run away screaming?

Or would you see just how hot a night with living creatures of stone could be?

Here’s an excerpt from “Carved into her Heart”:

Jasmine woke in a disoriented haze. The thin light of dawn trickled down through the forest. The same trees that were in her dream crowded overhead and the same cool, damp air filled her lungs. "Just a dream," she told herself as the details faded from her memory. All she could recall was a rigid stiffness inside her, another couple fucking right next to her, and her own odd feeling of rightness with the whole scene.
Her inner thighs and pussy were drenched. Jasmine reached inside the waistband of her long underwear and found her swollen clitoris. She snuggled down into her sleeping bag and grasped at the remnants of her dream. That monstrously huge organ and the decadence of having another couple entwined just inches away... Jasmine brought one hand to her breast and tugged at her nipple, imagining the flickering, forked tongue from her dream playing with her tit. She breathed faster, stroking herself more urgently. There had been a woman standing spread-eagled, her head thrown back while her lover buried his long tongue between her legs. How would it feel, she wondered, to trace one hand up that woman’s soft thigh and find the silky entrance to her pussy, and then slowly push a finger inside...

Check out “Carved into her Heart” (and read a longer excerpt) http://www.total-e-bound.com/product.asp?strParents=&CAT_ID=&P_ID=1766 at Total-E-Bound and look for my next novel, “A Ghost on Two Wheels,” in October. Find me on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/BebeBalocca?ref=hl and on my site http://bebebalocca.com.

Many thanks to Cerise for inviting me to pop in. I’ll be seeing you,
Love,
Bebe

OLDIES BUT GOODIES: Once Upon a Wedding by Desiree Holt!

This book is a little quickie to scorch your fingertips! I love stories about weddings and this one is special to me, not only because it was one of the first I read in the erotica genre, but also because it is by my bud, Desiree Holt.
The premise is cute, and not at all unusual: The bride has jitters. Say, what? Yes. And she tries to work them out before the wedding. Smart gal.
The groom agrees she better find a solution.
That solution is the one that rocks my world and makes me smile.
Hope for you too!
Loraine McIntyre longs for just one weekend to let down her hair and find a man who will help her live out all her fantasies before her conventional wedding to her very conventional fiancé and continuing her very conventional life. Despite Stuart's protests, she knows she has to do this or she'll always feel she missed something in life. Goodbye Loraine, hello Rainie.
And hello Joe, the sex god with lion's eyes she meets at the beach. Hopping on his motorcycle with him, she roars off to a weekend of the wildest sex anyone could ever want. But things are not always what they seem and life is about to hand Rainie a few surprises.

“Sounds like you should have a talk with Stuart.” They were silent for a long moment. Joe picked up one of her hands and played with the fingers. “So Rainie-who-wants-to-be-wild. Do you think I’d do?”
She frowned. “Do?”
“You know. For the weekend fling. I’m healthy, momentarily unattached and I can promise you the sex will be better than you can imagine.”
Her heart was beating in a stuttering rhythm. A flutter deep in her womb began to increase in tempo.
While she chewed on her lip, Joe made the decision for her. He swallowed the last of his drink, rose with lithe jungle grace and held out his hand to her. “Come on. I promise you an adventure you won’t forget.”
Rainie looked up at him. A wildness glittered in his lion’s eyes, a hint of something feral and untamed beneath all those tanned muscles and that amazing grin. Anticipation rolled over her.
“All right.” She stood up, hitched the thin strap of her flat purse over her shoulder and gave him her hand.
He tossed their drink cups in a trash barrel and led her toward the street.
“Where are we going?”
“I rented a house down the beach for the weekend. How does that sound?”
She paused. “I don’t have any clothes except what I’ve got on. And my car’s in the garage here.”
The amber eyes darkened to a deep gold. “If things work out you won’t need any clothes. And your car’s safe at the hotel. Anyway, I’ve got the transportation covered.”
They stopped at the curb where a gleaming silver Ducati motorcycle rested on its kickstand.
Rainie’s mouth flopped open. “Is this yours?”
“Sure is.” He winked at her and handed her a helmet. “Here. You’ll need this. Don’t want to splatter your brains before we get to that wild sex.”
Suddenly Rainie threw back her head and laughed. What the hell. This was what she wanted, wasn’t it? “Okay, Joe. Crank ‘erup.”
She hopped onto the motorcycle behind him, wrapped her arms around his hard, muscular body, her hands clasped against sun-warmed male skin and inhaled. A cologne so light its fragrance was almost elusive mingled with the scent of the sun, the Gulf waters, the lingering coconut aroma of the piña coladas and the male essence that was uniquely Joe. She had to squash in irresistible urge to pull up his shirt and lick his skin to see if he tasted as good as he smelled.
They roared down the street with wheeling seagulls squawking overhead and the rushing slipstream of the wind sweeping away the last vestiges of restraint.

Rope Me In by Cerise Deland
Knights in Black Leather, Book One
In Bravado, Texas, the men are good and plenty...and lonely.

Not inclined to remain horny bachelors, the three MacRae brothers devise a plan to find one fine woman and get the good lovin' they deserve. One gander at the new gal in town, charming Cara Ford, and the cowboys decide to do some old-fashioned courting. Then they'll offer her a thoroughly modern deal-all three of them, just for luscious, lovely her.

Cara has returned to Bravado to rebuild her life after cutting the cord to her self-centered husband. One man was a pain. Why would she want to tie herself to three ranchers known for their wildcattin', no matter how sexy?

Undeterred, Jed, Harry and Will rope her into their daily lives, sweet-talk her into sharing their torrid nights, and set out to convince her that three hard-lovin' men in bed is better than one.

I really loved the characters in this story. Cara, Will, Jed, and Harry are all really well written, complete characters. They drew me in from the very beginning. They all have different personalities and different tastes. The MacRae boys know what they want and they prepare for it and they go after it with a determination that cannot be stopped. I loved how different the brothers were and how united they were in their pursuit of Cara. I loved the interactions between all of the characters and how they handled certain situations. The sex was explicit and fairly frequent. At first there is not a lot of BDSM or ménage. It is in the story and it was enjoyable. At first Cara spends time one on one with each brother and builds relationships with them individually and as a whole. I liked the way that was done. This story focuses primarily on the relationship but there is enough going on that it holds your attention from the beginning. I really enjoyed the
plot and the way that it was written. The setting was great and I want to know more about the town and what is going to happen in it. This is the first in the series and I am excited for more.

THIS MARVELOUS Recommendation comes on the heals of 5 LIPS from TWO LIPS and ROSE THAT RULES from Romancing the Book!

TIM SMITH is back with his newest romantica, NEVER LOOK BACK!

Today I’m celebrating the release of my new romantic spy thriller from eXtasy Books, Never Look Back. This is the second in the Nick Seven series I began last year with Memories Die Last but like all my series titles, it stands alone.

“Nick Seven and Felicia Hagens left the CIA to carve out an idyllic anonymous life in The Florida Keys. The last thing they wanted was to be used by their former employer as pawns in America’s war on terror. Nick and Felicia navigate a complex maze of intrigue and double-crosses while dealing with a rogue agent from their past who has a score to settle. When Felicia becomes part of the scheme the stakes get higher and more personal. Can Nick keep her out of harm’s way or will he finally be outwitted? Will Felicia stay with him or return to Barbados?”

People have asked me about these characters and why I chose the setting I did. When I conceived the series I needed a place for these former spies to hang out, somewhere colorful where anything could happen but nothing that had been overused. I had recently visited The Florida Keys and asked myself a question – “If I were a former CIA spook who wanted to hide in plain sight, where would I go? Key Largo.” For plot purposes its ideal – Miami is to the north, and Key West is a couple of hours south.  A lot of action can take place on that hundred-mile stretch of islands.

Nick isn’t your typical spy guy action hero like you see on TV or in the movies. He isn’t married to his job like Gibbs on NCIS and he doesn’t ache to get back into the espionage game like Michael Weston on Burn Notice. Nor does he feel an unflagging loyalty to Queen and country like James Bond. Nick had enough and wants to stay the hell out of the game. Unfortunately his former employers have different ideas.

Every good adventure needs a sexy tough leading lady for the hero to bounce ideas and one-liners off of and Nick has Felicia, the Barbadian beauty he was once partnered with. He teasingly calls her “the toughest broad this side of the West Indies” but it’s no joke. She can kick ass with the best of them and the heat they generate between the sheets could melt the polar ice cap.  Here’s an example:

Nick lay in bed trying to go to sleep, but after the evening’s events it wasn’t possible. He closed his eyes and slowly exhaled a relaxing breath. He opened his eyes when he felt Felicia’s hand gently running along his chest. He raised his head and looked over at her. Her eyes were open and she stared at him.
He sat up and leaned against the headboard. A wisp of moonlight shone through the open curtains and highlighted her soft brown eyes.
“Something wrong?” he asked.
She slowly shook her head while moving her hand down his torso. “Nothin’ wrong. I just don’t feel like sleepin’.”
“Want to talk about it?”
She scooted over then kissed him. “Don’t feel like talkin’, either.” She paused. “You saved me tonight—again.”
He put his hand on the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss. “You’re worth it.”
Her hand moved further south. “Seein’ you show your tough side makes me hot.”
She leaned in and kissed a light trail along his cheek while her fingers roamed the back of his neck. “I just feel so close to you,” she whispered. “When all hell broke loose you didn’t hesitate. You wanted to make sure I didn’t get hurt.”
Nick peered into her eyes. They gave off a soft glow in the dimness. He felt something inside, a warmth and a longing to bond with Felicia in the most intimate way, to make her a part of him. He gave her a deep kiss and felt her breasts moving against his chest and her hand fondling him into hardness.
“I’m feeling pretty close to you, too,” he said.
Felicia slithered down his body and took his hard-on into her mouth. She lovingly sucked him while her hand squeezed and stroked. The fingers of her other hand raked his chest. Nick moaned softly as Felicia got him fully hard. He wanted to pull her to him but knew this was her seduction. He reached down to play with her nipple, tweaking it between his fingers until it was hard and puckered. Felicia purred and sucked him harder and deeper, working her throat down his length. She teasingly ran the tip of her tongue along his swollen head, making him jerk and pulse.
Nick’s breathing rate accelerated. “I love it when you do that.” He opened his eyes and looked at Felicia’s head bobbing up and down, increasing his excitement.
“Felicia, I need you,” he panted.
Felicia straddled him, grasped his cock and placed it at her wet opening. Slowly, teasingly, she lowered herself onto him. When he was completely imbedded inside her she stopped, panting softly. She placed her open palms on Nick’s chest and began riding him in a steady rhythm.
“So damn hard,” she whispered.

                                                                        * * * *

Action and intrigue abound in Nick and Felicia’s world, whether they want it or not. In these stories I like to take the Alfred Hitchcock approach – when you least expect something to happen, it probably will:

Felicia covered her mouth to stifle a yawn. Nick placed his hand on hers and squeezed. “My angel looks tired. Want to go home?”
“Yeah.” She paused. “Thanks for makin’ me go out today. Made me feel better.”
“You’re welcome. I just wanted to cheer you up and get your mind off things.”
She reached over and caressed his cheek. “For a tough guy, you can be sensitive when you have to be.”
“Maybe I need to work on that.”
They left the club via the outdoor exit then walked to the parking lot out front. When they reached a dark spot Felicia suddenly stopped, pulled Nick’s face to hers then kissed him.
“What was that for?” he asked.
“Just because.” She stroked his brow. “You complainin’?”
“Of course not.”
Nick took her in his arms and kissed her again. He felt Felicia’s hands on his shoulders and got more into their passionate embrace. Felicia pulled him a bit lower while kissing him with more intensity.
Their intimate moment was interrupted by the sound of rapid gunfire and bullets hitting the building behind them. Nick looked in wide-eyed terror in the direction the shots were coming from, then shoved Felicia to the ground. He collapsed on top of her and hugged her tightly, keeping his head down. There was a brief lull and then the shooting started again. Chunks of plaster landed on Nick’s back. After another minute the shooting stopped. Nick heard sirens approaching, followed by the sound of a car peeling rubber as it left the parking lot.
Nick got to his feet and sprinted toward the exit but only saw a dark compact car speeding north on U.S. 1. He ran back to Felicia and helped her to her feet.
“Are you okay?” he frantically asked.
Felicia took deep breaths and nodded. “Okay.”

Now that you’ve seen the trailer, read the full story. If you suddenly find yourself thirsting for a Pina Colada or wanting to take a siesta under the palms, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
