Lord Halsey’s Tempestuous Minx is a sumptuous historical romance I couldn’t put down. Cerise DeLand has done it again. She has written an emotional historical romance with subterfuge, high stakes, and characters who’ll become a part of you. The descriptive narration is immersive. The romance is sweeping with plenty of intoxicating moments. What makes this an impossible to put down story are the characters. I connected with Inès on so many levels. She’s an alluring woman who knows how to seduce to get what she needs. Halsey is a charming hero who knows what he wants. He’s quite the persistent man which lends to some fun banter. If you want to be swept away to another time period and fall in love along with the characters. Fans of Joanna Bourne and Stephanie Laurens will want to read Lord Halsey’s Tempestuous Minx.
